Set yourself up for success

Tips to keep you on track.

1. Prepare Everything You Need in advance. Get your workout clothes ready the night before so that they are visible when you wake up. Fill up a water bottle and set out a protein bar or anything else you’ll need so that you are ready to go without having to think about it. 2. Book It in Your Calendar Google Calendar is a life saver. If you have a busy schedule, you'll need to incorporate your workouts into that schedule. Treat your workouts as important business meetings that absolutely CANNOT be missed. 3. Focus on the exercises that you love & make note of the ones that you are less excited about. Everyone's body responds differently to different exercises. It is important that you get to know what feels good & what does not. The more you enjoy your workouts the more likely you will be to stay committed. 4. Exercise First Thing in the Morning Studies show that women tend to be more energized in the morning. When you’re exhausted after a long day of work, you’re less likely to feel motivated to hit the gym. If it’s possible within your schedule, exercise first thing in the morning to create a more consistent workout routine. You will feel so much better for the rest of the day. 5. Reward Yourself Choose something to look forward to after you exercise each week. Get a pedicure, grab lunch with a friend or watch your favorite t.v. show. The more you cultivate a positive relationship with exercise, the more likely you will stick with your new routine.
